What a home based business opportunity should be all about. - By: rikizzz, Posted on: 2006-10-14
Intro There are thousands of business opportunities that are loaded on the internet daily, waiting for the first 'sucker' to go in with them. And then they 'go-it-alone'. They pay a huge start up cost and have put money in pockets of others, and at the same time hurt their finances. Along with it they are discouraged to continue to persue their hopes and dreams. They become reluctant and can overlook an opportunity that may turn their lives around. Before committing to any business opportunity, you must know what it is you are looking for, and why you want to be your own boss. Why? Ask yourself: Why do I want to work from home? What benefits can I expect? What can I do to ensure my success? How much and what am I willing to sacrifice to succeed? You are dreaming to find the quality of life that you are looking for and need. You desire financial freedom, more free/family time, and less working hours, and no commuting back and forth to and from work each day. Your desire to work from the comfort of your home may come down to just having the opportunity to finally enjoy the important things in your personal life for once and for all. What the real questions are You want financial freedom? You wish to add a supplemental income to your home? To add to your retirement? Or to start one? To replace a current income? To achieve the quality of life you have always wanted? To help others? Longterm success? The reality is, you can have that financial freedom, that retirement, and/or that supplemental income. But sacrifices will come at first. But if you choose to go in with the right business your sacrifices can be minimal. While building your business, you may need to put in more hours than originally expected and the extra family time may be put off just a while longer. But if you can live your dream, isn't it worth it? With some businesses you see a turn around in as little as 3 months of your committment. Don't take it the wrong way, it is possible to committ part-time hours and still build a business that can serve as a nice supplemental income. But it's the longterm goal we are to analyze. If it's long-term and you are doing great, you will turn it into your full-time career without a doubt. It really comes down to what kind of return or lifestyle you want from having your home business. Whether part-time or full-time, your business should be one that will last you a lifetime--one you can grow and pass down to your children. Is it ethical? What should your business entail? Does it offer quality information, service, and/or products? Or are you willing to step on others to reach your goals? That only leads to a road of short success and possibly many lawsuits. The mindset to have is to go into a business that will help others in the same way it did for you. After all, it's the consumers that are a large percentage of the success of your business. And as you may know, negative feedback is a lot more infectious than the latter. Your status You should serve as a testimony for others and you should feel good sharing your business even with those closest to you--your friends and your family. Your outlook should be to be involved in a business that also enhances the lives of others. When you believe in what you do and who you are doing it with, you will have much more success. Integrity is a key factor in the success of your business. Risk factors Now most business require huge start up costs and minimal support in which you end up in debt before you even get up and running off the ground. When you start a business, it should offer low start up costs. A few business opportunities out there even offer a money back guarantee! It is better to go with a NO RISK business. It will keep you from getting discouraged from trying again if you find you just want to do something else or the kind of business that you started just wasn't for you. Truth is, it may not always work the first time around. Managerial/Corporate support The business opportunity you choose to go with should also help you along the way. Some supply mentors/coaches, to help guide you while you accomplish your goals, whatever they may be. Some even offer personalized Web Sites, Web Site management, internet marketing and tools, along with training seminars, corporate support, huge expanding market, and global marketing potential. Careful now, much of this may be mentioned with an opportunity, but may have additional costs for the support. If the business is truly in good standing, it may offer most of this additional support for free! This sounds like a lot to ask, but a honest company has the confidence, ability, willingness and capability to give its business owners the best from the beginning. Company history A company should have credentials second to none. So do your research. How long have they been in business? What do their consumers say? What is their track record? Find out about the companies' national recognition, awards, etc. How is the growth in the industry you are joining? Is there a constant flow of residual income to help establish your security? The Internet is very resourceful. Use it! In short, look for an opportunity where you and anyone you introduce to a business cannot be hurt. (Clean and simple!)
